Essences and Flavours have become synonymous over time. Essence and Flavours mean the same thing. They are aromatic ingredients made from natural, nature identical and artificial ingredients
Extracts are absolutes and oils obtained through various distillation and extraction process. They are less stable and milder in comparison to essence/flavours.

What is the difference between natural and nature-identical and artificial ingredients?

Natural ingredients are aromatic chemicals found naturally and derived from natural sources (fruits, roots, seeds, etc)
Nature identical ingredients are aromatic chemicals that are present in nature but manufactured
Artificial ingredients are aromatic chemicals not present in nature or found naturally but derived through mixing natural or nature identical ingredients.

All flavours contain organic chemicals that are either from extracts, natural or nature identical sources. Organic chemicals are what gives the product the taste and aroma.
We add organic chemicals to create aromatic compounds and flavours.

All flavours are safe. The ingredients used are permitted by FEMA (Flavours and Extract Manufacturers Association) and GRAS (Generally Regarded As Safe).
These regulatory bodies define the ingredients and compounds that can be used in flavour making.
All products sold by Ossoro Flavours are prepared in the sterile environments and they are automatically packed (filled, sealed and labelled) through our multiple production lines.

Dosage of flavours vary from product to product and the end application.
Ossoro Flavours recommends a standard dosage guideline of 1-3ml of essence per 1kg/litre of final product.

Flavours come with a long shelf life, and needs to be stored properly to avoid spoilage.
Citrus and Oil flavours have limited shelf life and have to be used carefully

All Ossoro Flavours can be stored in a cool and dry place, away from heat and sunlight. Refrigeration is not required.

Water Soluble flavours are suitable to be used in all cooking, baking, culinary and dessert applications. They are inherently heat stable and soluble in water. They however cannot be used in coverture chocolates.
Oil Soluble Flavours can be used in all applications except in aerated beverages and soft drinks

Ossoro Flavours are Halal Certified, FSSAI, GMP, GHP, HACCP and FSSC22000 certified.

Most of the flavours can be used, but the ingredients that are toxic to dogs such as chocolates cannot be used. Our Chocolate essence contains natural cocoa extracts, so we recommend not using such flavours for dogs

Some of the flavours come with natural colour (derived from the extracts present), and there are few soft drink and milkshake flavours that come with added colour. Majority of our products are colourless

Soaps: You may use Ossoro flavours for the aroma, but our products are not dermatologically certified.
Cosmetics: No, we are not dermatologically certified, and our products are food-grade, not cosmetic grade.
Candles: Yes, but flavours are weak in this application and dosage has to be increased
Air fresheners and diffusers: Not all flavours can be used in diffusers, as the extracts present in the flavours tend to settle after evaporation. Please reach out to us at customercare@ossoro.com for more assistance on this.
